Hi, I'm Gesa - language nerd, creative empath and expert in customised translations and texts. With my keen sense of language and culture, I will find the solutions that fit your company perfectly.

Growing up on the North Sea island of Föhr, my passion for languages was awakened early on. In addition to my mother tongue, German, I learnt Frisian (Fering) at primary school, followed later by English, French and Danish. When I was 15, I moved to Denmark to complete my international diploma. I gained valuable experience in global companies (from high-end loudspeaker manufacturers to university hospitals).

After almost 20 years in assistant and sales positions as well as international project management, love led me to the Netherlands. Here I founded LinguaTide Services in 2022 and found the niche that suited me perfectly: Language services that go far beyond simple translations - with sensitivity for the target group and an eye for details that make the difference.

The name LinguaTide reflects my North Frisian roots and the dynamics of language - always in motion, just like the North Sea with its ebb and flow.

In my free time, I find inspiration in nature, I sing (I am also trained in this - which benefits my voice and my presence in everyday life and at work), and I am interested in topics such as personal development, art (especially photography) and sustainability. I also love travelling.
